Who is processing my personal data?

To register for the Interrail France Germany Pass, we collect a limited set of personal data through the registration form. The following information is required for registration: first name, last name, date of birth, email address, and country of residency. This data is the minimum necessary to provide you with the Interrail France Germany Pass associated services. 


The personal data collected during registration is stored and processed by MCI Benelux SA, who acts as the primary data processor with its Consortium partner EURAIL NV. These companies have been appointed by the French and German government in order to execute the initiative. Caracal NV is appointed as a sub processor to assist in the collection, storage, and processing of the collected data. All entities are committed to maintaining data security and compliance with data protection regulations. 


For those registering under the French residency/citizenship category, your personal data will be shared with The Directorate-General for Transport, Infrastructure and the Sea (DGITM). This includes your first name, last name, email address and year of birth. If you are travelling with a Group Code, the following personal data will be shared with the agency you have been invited by; first name, last name, email address. For those registering under the German residency/citizenship, your personal data will not be handed over to the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV).


For those registering under the German residency/citizenship category, your personal data will not be share with the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV).


The personal data you provide during registration is stored in our secure registration system. MCI Benelux SA, along with its sub processor Caracal NV, retains this data until 1st April 2024. After this date, all personal data will be permanently removed from the registration system to ensure compliance with data protection practices.

EURAIL, the issuer of the travel pass, will process and store your personal data according to their own Terms of Use. Please refer to their privacy policy for detailed information on how they handle and protect your data.

These measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your personal data.
