Which countries can I visit?

Modified on Fri, 09 Jun 2023 at 10:55 AM

The Interrail France Germany Pass allows participants to travel exclusively within France and Germany, depending on their country of residence. As a French resident, you can travel in Germany, but not in France. Vice-versa, if you are a German resident, you can only travel in France. It is important to note that only trains operating within the boundaries of Germany and France are eligible for travel with this pass. Travel via neighbouring countries, like Belgium for instance, is not permitted under this pass.

Please note that you cannot use the Interrail France Germany Pass for travel in your own country of residence. However, travel to or from your country of residence is also included during one outbound journey and one inbound journey that occur during travel days at any point in your trip (outbound and inbound journeys are not extra travel days, therefore you will have to use one of your 7 travel days to leave your country and one to return to your country of residence).

The list below includes the possible routes to travel from France to Germany and from Germany to France.
